When we craft together, we're not just making costumes - we're creating armor for desire and transforming our bodies into living art.
Get ready for an evening of leather, lace, and lawless creativity as we prepare for our night of dust, desire, and reckoning at Wild West on 12 September.
What we'll be making:
For this workshop, we're strapping in and standing out with cowboy harnesses that know how to work and play.
In the traditional tack room, harnesses were built for purpose - to control, support, display strength. But when the Wild West meets after-dark elegance, things get deliciously playful. We'll be crafting pieces that blur the line between function and fantasy, between ranch-ready and saloon-sultry.
WE PROVIDE:
All essential materials (supple leather strips, fringe that dances, buckles and hardware)
Expert guidance from makers who know their way around both leather and longing
Templates and design inspiration for harnesses
Tools for cutting, punching, and precise assembly
WHAT TO BRING: Your wildest frontier fantasies and a thirst for trouble! Plus any special touches you'd like to add - vintage buckles, brass studs, or chains that sing when you move. We encourage you to hunt through markets and vintage shops beforehand - the more weathered and worn, the more authentic your creation will feel.
No prior experience necessary! We believe that everyone has an inner artisan waiting to break free from convention, and we love seeing our community co-creating their contributions as part of the massive collective art-project that each night becomes.
The workshop will be led by the fabulously creative Ines Taylor, Karinne, Andy, and Naila, who have been instrumental in all our costume workshops - along with some deliciously skilled guest experts in the fine art of harness crafting.

ABOUT Wild West
This workshop is for our next large event at Studio 338 on 12 September where we’ll be channeling the spirit of human resilience in America’s Wild West. Calling all cowboys, outlaws, and bandits to join the adventure!
