We invite you to a night of emotive ritual as we gather to celebrate deep spring & fecundity, remember the old ways that still live in our bones, and arouse the eros of the earth.
This is not a party - it is a collective remembering and re-awakening; a sensual communion with forces far older than our consciousness; an embrace of our shadow as we commune with our souls.
Y O U A R E T H E R I T U A L
For this event we swerve back from Brazil to the British-ish Isles, returning to this land’s ancestors & the post-neolithic dwellers who brought us to where we are today; the mighty warriors who retreated from war with the Romans to the northwestern-most isles of Europe, where their legacy is strongest.
Fox&Badge is half-Irish by ancestry, our Celtic lens will primarily focus on Ancient Ireland.
The Celts are our perfect guides for this reconnection – a people who prioritsed female empowerment; understood that pleasure and ecology are inseparable, and celebrated life with wild abandon, and saw no division between the sacred and the sensual (the tripartite Celtic Triskelion became the modern BDSM flag symbol). Their earthy wisdom offers exactly what our disconnected modern lives are missing – a delicious entanglement with the natural world, unfiltered ecstasy - and just enough sploshy ritual sacrifice to keep the gods satisfied ;)
Let us come together to reawaken our deep knowing - the wisdom that resides in every cell of our bodies, passed down through countless generations who understood that all life is sacred, interconnected, and pulsing with erotic power.
We heed and welcome the spirits of the plants, still whispering to those willing to listen - the hawthorn whose blossoms signal fertility's return; the sacred oak whose roots reach into the underworld; the mesmerising mushrooms that open portals between realms.
And we revere the spirits of our land, our forests and the rivers as we celebrate life and communion, sensuality and spring, and the inexorable forces that wish for us to melt in unison & ecstasy.

There is no better space for bliss and reverence than HEAVEN - and we are honoured to return to this incredible, iconic, much-loved bastion of the Bacchanalian during one of the only prime annual slots they can ever offer non-residents: the evening of the last May Bank Holiday Sunday, pre-Whitsun but post-Beltane - a fortuitous return to our blessed home for Isis & Osiris. Expect a welcoming labyrinth of mystery and majesty across every one of their available spaces. We give thanks that their license allows us to free the nip ;)

WORKSHOPS
TANTRA WORKSHOP: The tantra space is back at Celtic Spring! This is a complimentary immersive tantric experience for any guest. It’s a celebration of Celtic Spring energy, a time of emergence and sacred connection to self, others, and the Earth. This practice is for couples / throuples who are open to exploring their sensuality in a deeply embodied, primal way. This is free for all guests.
WAIL OF THE BANSHEE WORKSHOP: In Celtic tradition, two powerful vocal expressions marked the relationship with loss: the foretelling wail of the banshee (bean sídhe) and the ritual lamentations of keening women (mná caointe) who helped communities process grief through sound.
Join enchanting singer and voice liberation guide Katya Barton for this powerful hour long workshop at the very beginning of our event as we explore what our ancestors knew - that grief must be voiced. Free to Celtic Spring guests.

It looks a little like a film set. Together we can create magic & mystery; the banal & everyday are disruptive and unwelcome, and belong completely elsewhere.

You don’t have to wear fetish or expose your flesh; you do have to dress thoughtfully on theme.
Absolutely NO daywear, streetwear, businesswear, officewear, banal-wear, or anything off-theme will be allowed. Absolutely NO T-shirts, shirts, jackets, slacks, sneakers - or anything ordinary you’d just wear down the street.
Our door team protect the event by denying entry to those who have not made a sincere effort. We want you all to enter - but also need to safeguard the collective. Access is purely your responsibility.
If you are trying to figure out how to make this as easy and basic as possible, this is absolutely not the event for you; please simply come to one of our casual-wear meetups or workshops instead.

We celebrate expression over restriction, and take and share photographs and videos of our nights. We always have several amazing professional photographers and videographers at our events to capture some of the magical moments we can’t possibly all experience at once. It is not practical or implementable for our crew to ask every guest in our many vast rooms for their explicit consent; please feel entitled to tell any photographers if you do not want to be filmed or photographed. Images of the night will be shared discreetly on our channels. We will of course instantly honour the request for removal or blurring of any photos you are not comfortable with; your privacy is paramount.
We kindly request our guests to leave their phones to the side as much as possible, not film the night, and simply be fully present; we will share all our beautiful professional photos & videos with our community immediately after the event. There are strictly no photos allowed in dungeons or of any intimate acts. If in doubt, ask. Please only photograph with the utmost consideration, awareness and respect.

The venue is generally accessed from the South via a flight of stairs, but wheelchair users can approach on ramped surfaces via the delivery entrance to the West (from the North end of Craven Street). That approach (which regrettably has no disabled parking) gives access to our quietest space (which will also host Tantra to one side), which has the disabled toilet, quiet seating, and a viewing balcony with great sightlines of our Room1 large dancefloor.
HEAVEN have installed a new lift that enables wheelchair access across all of the ground floor areas, though regrettably the 2 smaller upstairs areas remain inaccessible to wheelchairs (our team are more than happy to help lift anyone that can accept that).
There are quieter internal chillout areas with plenty of seating in our new LiveMusic room (which will be very gentle at times - & utterly quiet at others); a less quiet chillout area with tons of seating adjacent to the large dancefloor (& similar upstairs in the Dark Forest); and guests can always take a break outside in the large covered smoking area at the entrance.

Generally due to the shape of existing buildings, we may have areas that are unsuitable for those with specific access requirements, for which we apologise.

While you won’t find playrooms at our events, we have many other opportunities for kink and sensual exploration - including our BDSM dungeon, tantra space, guest shibari zone - and may other senusal delights....

We believe in equality & reciprocity. We do not want to generate revenue with divisive, separatist VIP elitism. We want to enable low-income guests to attend, but we also need help in return. Many of our family of volunteers are low-income and generously give to our community in order to attend.
Our low-income tickets are offered to anyone who is working or occupied full-time, but on low-income; please email us at foxandbadge+lowincome@gmail.com with a brief overview of your circumstances.
Anyone who is unemployed but available, we prefer to offer free tickets in exchange for help on e.g. setup during the day; derig after the event; door meet & greet, etc. We generally vastly prefer that people help, and contribute towards an ecosystem of collaborative giving.
We have a limited number of free tickets available for guests with a disability who require a carer companion; please email foxandbadge+carer@gmail.com with details about your situation.
